An extremely dense remnant of a massive star's core, packed mostly with neutrons after a supernova.
Neutron stars
A neutron star packs more than the Sun's mass into a city-sized sphere. Some spin rapidly and beam radio waves as pulsars. Mergers of neutron stars produce gravitational waves and heavy elements.
